## Overview

You can update your legal name, contact details, and address directly from within your Webassessor account. Depending on your test sponsor's policies, some fields may be editable by you, while others may require your test sponsor to make changes on your behalf.

## How to Update Your Profile

1.  Log in to your **Webassessor account** and click the **Edit Profile** option near the top-right corner of your account window.
    
2.  Locate the _Legal First Name_ and _Legal Last Name_ fields. If these fields are editable, make your changes and click **Save**.
    
3.  Review and update any remaining available fields as needed, then click **Save** to apply all changes.
    

## What to Do If Fields Are Locked

Some profile fields may be locked and unavailable for direct editing. This is determined by your test sponsor's account management policy.

*   If the _Legal First Name_ or _Legal Last Name_ fields are locked, contact your **test sponsor directly** to request the name change — they control profile updates for their candidates.
*   If any other fields are locked, reach out to your test sponsor for assistance. They manage their candidates' Webassessor account profile update policies.
