While taking an Online Proctored Exam, you will be monitored by a Live Kryterion Proctor. A Kryterion Proctor's focus is to ensure exam security by maintaining exam integrity.

In order to prepare for an online proctored exam, please watch the short instructional video below:

We recognize that our community has various testing styles and behaviors. To help you navigate the Kryterion OLP test experience, here are some additional behaviors to be mindful of in preparation for your exam:

* Reading your exam material aloud. If your voice and volume level are clear enough for your Proctor to understand, then you may be flagged.

* Talking out loud or speaking to another person in the room is prohibited.

* Loss of video, or poor video resolution that interferes with the online proctoring process, will result in your exam being paused or suspended until troubleshooting is completed. A suspension of this nature is to ensure exam content is being secured.

* Leaving the testing environment is not allowed unless approved by the exam publisher. An example of when you are permitted to leave the testing area would be the allowance of a restroom break during the exam.

* Using any test aid (books, papers, writing instrument, phone) that the exam publisher did not previously approve for this exam.

* Excessive background noise or other audio issues that interfere with the online proctoring process. You are responsible for providing a quiet, distraction-free environment prior to starting the exam. This is to ensure that exam security and integrity are maintained during your online exam. Please be mindful of this before choosing a public area or communal space in your home as a testing environment.

* The presence of other people in the secure testing area, regardless of whether they are visible or audible.

* Any attempt or suspected attempt of test content theft.

* Taking a picture of the exam content or having a recording device directed at the exam content will result in an exam suspension.
